It is the most wonderful time of the year approaching! We are in the sweet days of Av (Leo), and Elul (Virgo) is just around the corner, which means we are one heartbeat away from the High Holy Days. In our world, it also means summer begins to wind down and structure and routine return. It all lines up. As a Virgo, I am absolutely giddy.
Our ancestors understood that this moment was precious. It was less about back-to-school shopping and more about back-to-soul searching. After all, how could we possibly enter Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur without first doing this inner work?
They had rituals and practices that prepared them to enter this sacred season of introspection. Many of those rhythms have been lost to us.
This year, I decided to bring them back with an offering that blends the ancient with the modern.
